Chicago- Part 2

Christmastime in Chicago- Part 2
December 20th - 23rd
Monday we went back downtown for a special night with my Aunt Fran and cousins, Katie and Patricia.
First stop was the American Girl Store Mary Grace got to pick out 1 new outfit for her Bitty Baby, Gracie. It was very fun to see her 'shop' and consider all her options. She ended up choosing the Christmas dress.
We spent some time wondering around the store and it is absolutely amazing, exciting and terrifying all at the same time. I am not sure if I should look forward to her getting more 'into it' or dread it!

As we headed up the street to Macy's it started snowing really hard. It could not have felt more Christmasy or perfect!
We quickly looked at the window displays-
And then we went to The Walnut Room for dinner.
The tree is incredible. Quite by accident we were able to get a table very close to the tree and enjoy it while we ate.

During dinner the fairy princess came by and sprinkled fairy dust on everyone!
Tuesday we woke up to a lot of fresh snow-

Of course we had to have a snowball fight. Mary Grace loved when the snow hit her!

A lot of time was spent in the kitchen making an amzing Christmas dinner. Aunt Fran certainly kept us well fed and hosted a fabulous family meal!

After dinner Santa showed up-
Sarah and Therese
Brent and Katie
Mary Grace was still a little uncertain of Santa, but she warmed up quite a bit. At one point she went over to Santa and invited him to come see her pink Christmas tree.

We really enjoyed our trip to Chicago and had so much fun seeing everyone!
