Robby and Anna's Wedding
June 19, 2010
Salisbury, NC

This is Mary Grace practicing her walk up the isle on the wedding day. The night before, at the rehearsal, Mary Grace walked up the isle 3 times with her dress pretty much over her head. She shoved as much of it as possible in her mouth and pranced down the isle. It got a big laugh the first time and that fueled our little drama queen. Fortunately, after a few practice runs on Saturday we were pretty confident that she wouldn't do it in front of everyone!

Mary Grace did an amazing job as one of the Flower Girls! Anna had the brilliant idea to let the girls walk with their moms. Thank goodness- Mary Grace might still be walking. She sprinkled flower petals every few steps and then she would stop and turn her head to look at her work. I would give her a gentle nudge, and we'd start all over again. With only a few pews left until we got to the alter, Mary Grace reached into her basket and LOUDLY announced "I'm all out." It truly couldn't have been rehearsed any better or cuter!

When Anna was walking in Mary Grace REALLY wanted to run to her. There might have been a little kicking and restraining, but of course every one's attention was focused on Anna and I'm not sure that anyone saw the meltdown. After that Mary Grace went to sit with her Great Aunt Fran. It has been reported that Mary Grace was 'perfect' and only said 3 things the entire service-
1. "My shoes are white"
2. "My Daddy played basketball this morning"
3. "Why are YOU crying?"

Mary Grace had tons of fun running around the reception with Daniel. We're not sure if it was Daniel, but someone at the reception taught Mary Grace to say "I need money. Lots and lots of money. Cash money." Mary Grace went up to Brent and said this with a huge grin. Brent immediately asked "who taught you that?" and she replied a VERY coached answer- "I taught myself." And she somehow managed to pull off a completely innocent look...we're in SO much trouble when she gets older!!!
One of Nana's best friends, Mrs. Leslie, gave Mary Grace a UT gift at the beginning of the reception. She got her a pink UT polo and a pair of socks. Of course, Mary Grace insisted on putting the socks on immediately. Several people commented on the socks- and Mary Grace LOVED showing them off!
