University of Tennessee Homecoming Weekend
November 12th - 14th, 2010
We started the weekend off by taking Mary Grace to the Homecoming Parade with Ms. Dena

Alpha Chi's float (my sorority)
Ironically, our chapters ended up tying for 3rd place overall in the Homecoming competition!
After the parade we headed over to the Finals of Smokey's Howl (a cheer/dance competition among the fraternities and sororities). This was BY FAR Mary Grace's favorite part of the whole trip. She loves the cheerleaders. They did a bunch of cheers to get the crowed warmed up and she was loving it!

After all the excitement Mary Grace went to her Aunt Janet's house for pizza and fun. "Jana" was nice enough to babysit Mary Grace so Brent and I could go out with our friends.
Saturday morning we met "School Cooper" and Erin at Panera. Cooper and Mary Grace were both so excited to see each other, but they immediately got shy around each other. It was cute!

Mary Grace's first UT Football Game!
On our way to the stadium...

Touchdown Tennessee!

Mary Grace had a great view of the cheerleaders and was thrilled to watch them. She especially liked the stunts and really wants to do that when she grows up! I am honestly not sure if she even noticed there were was a football game going on!

As soon as we got back to the car she fell asleep. She 'gave her all for Tennessee today!'
Saturday night we went out to dinner at Kanpai with Grandmary.
Sunday we were able to sneak in a little time to relax, a nice lunch with Mimzie and Pops, and then we were off to Carter's 2nd Birthday Party.
Carter and Mary Grace playing with part of the toy we gave Carter. Mary Grace was really funny! As soon as Meghan announced that Carter was going to open his presents Mary Grace yelled out "Carter, we got you a Handy Manny workshop." Haha! No secret is safe with her!
Meghan did the cutest party! It was a construction/truck theme. There were several activities, including making those cute yellow hats!

(I'm sure Carter hasn't really missed the hugs where he gets strangled. Hopefully they will even out eventually and Mary Grace won't choke him every time they hug!)

So cute! My little cousin is thinking of attending college at Tenn and I am totally pushing for it! Miss Mary Grace would make a cute little cheerleader in a few years! Glad to see that you all are doing well.
