WEG's

World Equestrian Games
Saturday, October 2nd Lexington is hosting the World Equestrian Games right now. It is the first time the United States have been the host country and it is a very big deal here in Kentucky!
Knowing that this was a once in a lifetime opportunity, we knew we really wanted to go see an event. My cousin, Katie, loves horses and suggested we go see the Cross Country part of Eventing. Cross Country is roughly a 3-mile course with tons of "natural" jumps. The horses went through water, jumped over logs, hedges, and other obstacles. We were able to move around on the course and spent most of the morning watching some amazing jumps!

Aside from the actual event there were tons of other things to do at the Horse Park. We ate, we shopped and we spent quite a bit of time in the kids area.
Mary Grace got to pet a penguin.

We were so glad that Nana, Katie and Greg could join us for such a special day!
