Although the temperature has been summer-like for quite some time now, being that this is Mary Grace's first week out of school, we're just now officially kicking off summer.
Love, love, love the splash park!

Mary Grace and Carter were so wiped out after running around in the water for a few hours!
The Zoo (I've all but given up trying to take cute pictures at the zoo. Rest assured, the Knoxville zoo has TONS of animals...and I have tons of pictures of the back of Mary Grace's head...I'm just over it and refuse to spend any more time trying to get her to turn around!)
We did spend quite a bit of time in a new play area the zoo has set up. The kids can play/participate in every aspect of a zoo- including shoveling poop! Thank goodness, Mary Grace showed no skill or talent in this area!
Plowing the field?

Mary Grace LOVED the vet portion of the play area! Aside from giving this lion a shot in his ear and calling the blood pressure cuff a necklace, she looked like a natural!

A very friendly pig
While looking at the River Otters Carter, very sweetly, put his arm around Mary Grace. It was absolutely precious! It looks like Mary Grace is about to elbow him in the head, but she was starting to reach around to put her arm around him too when Meghan finally snapped the picture.
My favorite moment at the zoo (no picture) was when we were viewing a huge ape. He had his foot up on the glass and Mary Grace gave him 'high five.' Then she looked right at him and says "can you do fist bump?"
